Day 05- A picture of somewhere you’ve been to
I borrowed this picture off the internet because the last time I was at Bedrock City I'm not sure digital cameras existed. That's actually not true; I did have a camera. I just have all of my pictures in a scrapbook, and it seems like forever ago since I went to Bedrock City.
This place is fantastic! It is between Williams, AZ and the Grand Canyon. My parents took my brother and I there on our Grand Canyon trip. I think we spent more time at Bedrock than we did the canyon! Seriously, we have tons of pictures of my brother and I just living the life of a caveman.
Bedrock City is set up just like a little town. Supposedly the home of Fred, Barney, and the rest of the crew from "The Flintstones," this place has it all. There are the characters homes, a doctor's office, and a movie theater. The movie theater has plenty of seating and is showing cartoons the entire time the park is open. It was great!
There are not too many places families can go and use their imaginations anymore. This is one theme park I would highly recommend, though many young people won't have any clue who The Flintstones are. It was a nice place to relax and enjoy our vacation. So much so that I took my husband there in 1999. The poor guy STILL hasn't been to see the Grand Canyon!

Never been there ~ looks like a fun place ~ Did make the Grand Canyon and that was awesome ~ really a 'destination' by itself ~ Thanks for the post.
Hugs and namaste, Carol (artmusedog, too) ~ LOL
hmm sounds fun never been there~Grand Canyon but would love to go
The couple of times I've been to the Grand Canyon I haven't liked it as much as I would have expected. I'm afraid of heights, though, so I cant' get too close to the edge. I think I prefer looking at it in pictures for that reason. My husband and I got married at the Grand Canyon Deer Farm, not too far away from the canyon, though. I know... completely different story.
I'm old enough to remember the Flintstones... Pebbles and Bam Bam too.
This weekend we happened to catch some old episodes. You know, I didn't remember Fred being such a pig. He really is a caveman. : )
I'm now following.

Mona, I'll have to go back and look at some old episodes now. I'm curious how I will perceive the characters from an adult perspective. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like fun Karen. Never been there, am sure my son would enjoy it a lot. We've made him watch the Flintstones over and over:-)
All these kids that have seen the Flintstones... I seriously fell down on the job as a parent! I'm going to look some old cartoons up on Netflix or something tomorrow and share them with my girls.
