Feeling Beachy- May 20, 2011

1. I always wanted to become a teacher and I did it! As most of you know, I graduated with my teaching degree recently. As I was preparing to finish school, many of my long-time friends and relatives told me stories about how much I loved to play school when I was a young girl. From the time I was 4-years-old I was showing others how to do things. I think that is really cool that I "knew" what I was meant to do at such a young age.

2. One of favorite things about my spouse is how he enjoys spending time with our children. Daniel makes an effort to get the kids to school in the mornings and get home from work in time to pick them up in the afternoons. As the owner of his company, he has the freedom to do that. Not all men would work so hard to spend time with their families.

3. The craziest (most daring) thing I did in High School/College is not something I want to discuss, nor am I proud of. My early college days were spent being an idiot. Really. Enough said.

4. I couldn't make it through a day without seeing my family. I don't know what I would do without my husband, kids, and parents. Life would definitely be strange. My other answer would be the computer, but I "could" live without that. I just don't want to!

You totally copped out with #3! Just teasing--I won't be talking about most of my not so smart moments either. There are too many to choose from! :)

I love that you're doing exactly what you were meant to do. I have a daughter who wants to be a teacher now--we will see.

Yeah, I might have copped out on #3, but my mom reads my blog! LOL That was a joke, Mom. Seriously, I was a pretty boring kid in high school, but I moved in with a guy my first year of college. That should say it all. ;-)

How old is your daughter who wants to be a teacher? I would suggest she volunteers in a classroom as much as possible to find out what it's all about. That's how I got started back to school. I couldn't get enough of the classroom!

I love that you knew what you wanted to be... your #2 makes me smile!

Hilary: I just wish I had realized when I was younger that I truly wanted to be a teacher. It was tough going back to school at age 33, but it was worth it!

I agree with your #4. Can't live without 'em!
I'm still discovering that I don't want to do what I have to do. Trying to find a way to fit them both in my life.
Nice to read about #3. Melts your heart doesn't it?

Anne, #3 actually scares me to death. I hope my girls don't make such terrible choices the day they are set loose into the world. I'm just glad I figure it out and grew up! ;-0)
