I give up on this book. I wish I could give it less than one star. I have absolutely NO respect for a teacher who would look the other way during an emergency drill when students tell her they are going to leave campus. A teacher's job is to PROTECT students, not to let them run rampant. This teacher is clearly too immature to be teaching high school. She should have taken the clue when her students said she was being too lenient. They were looking for support and guidance. Am I being harsh on this teacher? Absolutely, and justifiably so. In my opinion, this is what is wrong with education today. Our students, no matter the educational environment they are forced to learn in, deserve more from our teachers today.

Guess I won't be reading this book anytime soon. It's good to see an honest review and not the sugar coated stuff that's often found these days!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I guess I was a little on the fed-up side when I wrote this review. My filters weren't exactly in place, but I do agree that there needs to be more honest reviews that make it clear how people feel about the book. Thanks for stopping by!
