Fun! My kids started Karate a while back but funds ran out and we had to take them out. We're hoping/planning to get them back into it over the summer.
Susi, that's great! It seems kids of all ages like martial arts.
laughwithus, have you checked into the YMCA? We pay about a third of what the surrounding dojos cost, and the training is no lesser in my opinion. My daughter has won as many medals as the kids who are training in the expensive studios.
So far my daughter has been at it for just under a year. Those are her cousins in the picture with her. Her instructor said all kids hit a plateau at some point and want to give up but we should encourage her to continue. We'll see what happens! A year is a long time at age 8, so I'm hoping this is something she really will keep working at.

How cool is that. Middle daughter did Tae Kwon Toe in pre-k and she was the star student. :)

My son took up taekwondo but gave up after 6 months!
