Five Question Friday- February 3, 2012

1. What have you done recently that you are proud of?
I have started walking about every other day.  After spending almost a year wondering if I would ever walk for exercise again, this is a big accomplishment.  The walks are slow, but they are steady.  I think I got in 5 miles last week.

2. What is your favorite way to work out? Or if you don't workout, what are you wanting to try?
When I could work out regularly I LOVED Zumba!

3. If you knew you best friend was cheating on spouse would you tell?
Absolutely.  Best friend or not, cheating is disgusting.  I would tell my best friend that she needed to tell her spouse and give her a time limit.  After that I would have to tell.

4. If you could afford a live-in maid or nanny, would you have one?
No way, not a live-in.  I like to have my privacy too much.  I do share a lot here on my blog, but I like to have the CHOICE of what to share.

5. Do you stress out about birthdays (specifically the age) or do you enjoy them?
I enjoy my birthdays.  There's no use stressing about the age; we're all getting older each day.

Congrats on getting some walking in! I bet it felt GREAT!

And I'm like you...I enjoy my birthdays. It's my special day and the fact that I've made it another year is so amazing!

I wouldn't get a live-in either. However, if she wanted to come once a week I wouldn't argue. :-)

I'll agree with that kailani. It would be really nice if a maid would come when I wasn't home and leave a nice, warm meal on the table, too! ;-)

Carol,
The five miles were spread out over several walks, but that is huge for me. Thanks for stopping by!

I could never do the live in thing, but I have no issue having someone come in every other week to clean :-)

The exercise must feel quite wonderful! Great job Karen! Also, I agree about the birthdays, and not having a live in anyone. Can't bear the thought! Ditto on the cheating friend. I hope to get back to walking sometime soon. After high hopes with running etc, I'm on restricted activity. But I'll take inspiration from you!

Anne, just do what you CAN do. I know... easier said than done, for sure! It is nice to get back to doing SOMETHING after almost a year of nothingness. I never thought I would be happy "just" walking and at such a slow pace, but it sure does feel good to move. It doesn't matter what kind of exercise it is, exercise DOES make a big difference to mood.
