Image creditHappy Birthday to the state of Utah! I'm not much of a traveler, but this is one place I'd like to see. Every picture I've ever looked at seems so peaceful. There are mountains of all sorts, and it just looks so clean compared to where I live. I'm sure that's great tourism advertising, though. There have got to be ugly parts, too.
Utah was the 45th state to join the United States, and it did so on January 4, 1896. You can read more about Utah's becoming a state at History.com. The article seemed to focus a lot on the origins of Mormonism, though, rather than the history of the state. A quick search of the internet proved that Utah has so many more attractions. I couldn't believe the number of state parks, zoos, and other outdoor adventures. Utah is definitely a place to visit for a family who enjoys hiking, camping, and sight-seeing!

Thanks so much for your supportive comments on my blog posts this week! I am so excited and nervous about this weight loss/health journey but I know I can make it happen!
Thanks!

There's an untouched beauty about it. Nature's own sculpture :-)It's truly gorgeous. Hope I can visit someday. Thanks for sharing this!
Anne, it always amazes me how the mountains look so different in various areas. We have mountains around where I live, but I don't think they look anything like this!
