So, I found this challenge, but no one quite knows where it originated. If you are the owner of this challenge, please forgive me for not giving you credit where due.
Day 01- A recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself

This picture was taken at Superstition Farms in January, 2011
1. I like animals, as long as I don't have to live with them.
2. I LOVE petting zoos. I think I like them more than my girls.
3. On this trip we found out I am NOT allergic to rabbits, even though I am severely allergic to guinea pigs. This is good to know.
4. I have been married for 11 years this month.
5. I have two daughters- ages 8 and 10.
6. We have lived in our townhouse for 3.5 years. I have no intention of ever moving again, even though my husband has different thoughts.
7. I listen to a variety of music. You would think I have multiple personality disorder if you were to browse my iPod songs. I REALLY enjoy original soundtracks.
8. I relate to the character Max from "Where the Wild Things Are." I have a stuffed Max that comes with me when I'm upset- like when I was in the hospital.
9. I enjoy writing short stories- you can find them on the tab at the top of my blog.
10. I don't really have a favorite food, but if you ask me out to eat I will choose Mexican almost every time.
11. My favorite color is green. When I was substitute teaching I would often wear a green shirt, which my junior high students found incredibly funny when I wrote my last name "Greenberg" on the board. Junior High kids have a strange sense of humor.
12. I got my teaching certificate in November 2010 and can't wait to get a full-time job.
13. I found that I really did not like subbing, and I won't be returning to that if I don't get a full-time job. I will, however, trying tutoring or something different.
14. I have nerve damage from sever complications with shingles. I am hoping for a full recovery, but we'll see what happens. Today I have been sitting on the couch for 10 weeks because of the pain in my body, then my feet.
15. I feel like my best strength is that I am a caring and giving person. I love to share my life, in person and through my blog. I don't, however, like to be manipulated or lied to. Once I've had enough my worst weakness comes out. I don't forgive easily.

I so agree with #1. Never used to be that way, but the older I get the less I want to take care of!
As for #7 - You and me both! I listen to everything that strikes my fancy and my mood.
#14 - Gosh, I've read a little about that on your blog. I sure hope you are back to normal soon!
#15 - I'm with you there too!
Great post!
Carrie: I remember all the critters I would bring home and BEG my parents to keep. I understand now why the answer was NO most of the time! LOL I have enough on my plate with two kids, a house, and two careers in the family when I'm feeling well.
#7 can make for a pretty odd shuffle on the iPod, but it's fun!
Thanks for your well wishes. I hope I'm back to normal soon, too. I've really had enough of being sick!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. It's always fun when people do!
Karen,
Hubby and I will be married 11 years in August :-)
So, since yours is sometime this month, Happy Anniversary :-)
Sorry about the complications from shingles. It can't be easy. Hope you recover soon and are back to normal.
Also, I can't forgive and I can't forget...but I'm trying to break that cycle. Preferably forgive, but never forget :-)
Oh my goodness...#4 me too!!! Both this month and 11 years. Congratulations :D
Anne:
Happy Anniversary to you, too! It's a few months early, but that's better than late. LOL
Thanks for the wishes for a recovery soon. I am working on coming to terms with the fact that this will be a much longer process than I expected. That's okay, though. I'll deal with each day as it comes- this is a new way of thinking for me that is not as easy as it sounds!
The problem with never forgetting is that it gets me thinking about the problem all over again, then I get mad and don't want to forgive any more. I know, it's not a nice cycle. I hope you have better luck breaking it than I have had!
Wow, Dwija, that is really cool. What day? My anniversary is on the 24th. We got married at the Grand Canyon Deer Farm in Arizona. I'll have to do a post about that when the time comes. It's a really cool story with great pictures if I can figure out how to get them scanned from my scrapbook.
Your 'Interview' is up on my blog ~ http://www.artmusedogsharethecreativejourney.com
Hope you like and will get some traffic from it ~ Enjoy the day ^_^
Great to 'meet' you! I've seen this around too, and I don't think ANYONE knows where it originated lol. Congrats on 11 years of marriage! I have really eclectic music tastes too, a lot of people think I'm weird but I like variety - and it's more interesting than only listening to one genre or those people who are snobs about music and think that only a certain kind of music is what everyone should listen to. I hope that you're able to make a full recovery from the nerve damage - best of luck to you!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, SweetMarie! I think more people like a variety of music than I would have imagined. I guess with iPods it is easy to do that now days. We don't have to buy albums in order to get our favorite songs, so it is fun to have just the one or two from a certain genre that you like.
Love this challenge. So great to get to know others better!

I love animals too but have to have some in my house.
Callista: That's awesome of you. I wish I wanted to have pets because I think there are a lot that need to be rescued.
